O’Meara Kitty
Kitty O’Meara lives and writes near Madison, Wisconsin. Her poems and essays have appeared in several publications and are often featured in her blog, the-daily-round.com.
Her children’s book, And the People Stayed Home is a bestseller, and was named by Smithsonian Magazine as one of the Top Ten Children’s Books of 2020. A second picture book, The Rare, Tiny Flower, was published in 2022, and Oliver and the Night Giants was published in 2023 (both by Tra Publishing).
O’Meara’s books, translated and published worldwide, have been featured in Publisher’s Weekly, The Washington Post, and The New York Times, and listed in annual top-ten lists by “bookstagrammers” on Instagram. The Rare, Tiny Flower was selected as one of the top 100 picture books in the BRAW Amazing Bookshelf collection showcased at the 2023 Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
